MR. CLARENCE GROSS, a.k.a. “Sonny,” was born on August 8, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on June 26, 2020.
Sonny received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. Heworked for the water company located on Fulton and Druid Hill Avenue for many years, then Sonny began driving for different cab companies for decades and decades, driving cabs was his passion.
Sonny could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He was a well-known comedian. Sonny learned to love money at an early age, he loved to dress nice, dance and play thelottery.
Clarence was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gross; father, John Snowden; brother, Carl Gross; sister,Margaret Gross; daughter, Robin Gross and son, Lawrence Coleman.
Clarence leaves behind to mourn: his brother, Andy Gross (Mary); children, Shirley, Barbara, Tootsie, Wayne, Lamont, Clarence, Tina, Tanyell, Donnell, Sharon, Michael, and Diane; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren,and a very special devoted friend, Peggy.
