CHARLIE LEE WALKER, JR., son of Minnie and the late Charlie Sr., was born on August 25, 1964 in Wilmington, North Carolina. After living in Wilmington, North Carolina for 5 years, the family moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1969. He departed this life and began his eternal life with his Lord on October 17, 2020.
Charlie was educated in the Baltimore City School System. He graduated from Carver High School in 1982. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Following his service in the US Marines, he returned to Baltimore and worked various jobs.
Charlie was affectionately known to family and friends as Pee-Wee. He loved his family and especiallyenjoyed spending time with his two sons, Christopher and Tyree and with his grandson, Christopher Jr. Charlie also enjoyed communicating with his cousins on Facebook.
Charlie became a member of Centennial-Caroline Street United Methodist Church and served as an Usher. Charlie’s hobbies included watching sports on television. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Cowboys and the North Carolina Tarheels. His other favorite pastime was hanging out with his brother Darrell at the barbershop.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Lee Walker, Sr. and an uncle that was like a brother, George Gaymon; Charlie leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Dawn; two sons, Christopher and Tyree; and one grandson, Christopher Jr.; a stepdaughter, Yasmine; a loving and devoted mother, Minnie Walker of Garner, NC; two brothers and their wives, Darrell (Barbara) of Baltimore, MD, Timothy (Jacqueline) of Garner, NC; three nieces, Whitney, Rebekah, Rachel; two god sisters, Carolyn Moses, Lakeisha Greene; five aunts, Martha Ragin, Sarah Brunson, Lucille Gaymon, Rosa Adams, Emma Gaymon; two uncles, Ransom Adams, David Gaymon; a host of cousins,other relatives, and friends.
