Deborah R. McTier (Young) was born March 3, 1953, in Concord, North Carolina to the late Mary Young and James Young. Deborah departed her life on December 30, 2023 due to healthcomplications.
Deborah received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She retired from TriZetto Group withover 20+ years of service.
She loved her Unashamed Gospel Ministries church family. Known affectionately as “Mother” or “Moms”,she was one of its foundational members. Mother McTier read theannouncements, was a faithful memberof the VESSELS women’s ministry and she was also in charge of the card ministry; On December 5, 2021 shemarried the love of her life, Deacon Wade McTier. They enjoyed spending time together and trying new places to eat. She adopted numerous childrenwherever she went. She was like a second mother to many!!! Deborah was a very loving and caring person who dedicated her life to encouraging others. She would send out text messages and videos daily, just to let people know that she cared, and that God loved them!!! She will truly be missed beyond words. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Mary V. and James Young Sr.;her brothers, Clarke L. Young, ThomasA. Young, James Young Jr.; her sister,Drucella Bibbens and nephew Kelly Young.
She leaves to cherish her memories: herhusband Deacon Wade McTier, son Pastor Curtis L. Mobuary, daughter in love Prophetess Pamela Mobuary, step daughter Sharniece (Edward), granddaughters Johana, Lyriq, Laiyahand Kaydence; 1 biological sister Brenda Caldwell and 1 sister through decades of friendship Deborah Brickus: 1 niece Tiffany Burrell, nephews Michael Young, Kevin Young (Shelly), Karl Young (Toni), James Young III (Latoya) host of other relatives, friendsand adopted children.
