Karen Ambey

Karen Renee' Ambey was born on May 22, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Vernon Ambey and the late Vernell Ambey(née Campbell). January 16. 2022 she went on to be with her parents and only grandchild.

Karen was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Carver Vocational Technical High School in 1980. While in high school she completed the work study program that started her career with the federal government at the NSA. She achieved many awards while working for the government and retired after working their for 40 years. In 1980 she met Les and in 1983 they were blessed with Karen's first and only child, Shenika. 

Karen was a homebody but loved to dine out. She traveled to Jamaica and loved to take trips to Disney World in Orlando, Fl. Karen loved all her family, but nothing meant more to her than her most rewarding achievement... being a Mother. Nika, or boo-boo she affectionately called her was her pride and joy and if you saw Karen.. chances are Nika wasn't far behind. Shopping and dining out was their weekend thing to do. Karen was loved and cherished by all those who were blessed to have known her. May 1 2015 she was overjoyed to meet her grandson whom proceeded her in passing. Whenever she would see a picture of her "peanut" she would smile and tear up a little. 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter Shenika, her sisters Donna and Teresa, 2 nieces Lanice and Ledaja,1 great niece Phoenix, longtime friend Les as well as a host of other family, loved ones and close friends.
