Trina Tubman Obituary

Journey of Life

Trina NicoleTubman, daughter of Richard M. Ritch, Sr. and Katherine Sue Bunch, was born on December 30,1973 and exchanged her earthly tabernacle for her heavenly one on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Trina was a wife, mother, sister, friend, scholar, author, Minister of Dance and most importantly, God’s child!  Trina attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Western High School in 1991. Doves Forever!

She later met her husband, Terence, while working as a secretary in the dialysis department of Church Home & Hospital. Within six months of meeting, they married on September 4,1998. They renewed their vows in 2005 and celebrated 23 years of matrimony.

Her personality was the bomb.  She was so outgoing, made friends wherever she went, and adopted many as her sisters and brothers. She was the baby of the family and was so very much protected. She was so giving, often of her last, but she never complained.

“Tree,” as she was affectionately known, sang in concerts with her siblings and her Aunt Sandra. They were known as “ The Bunch Children.” As they got older, they were known as “The Bunch Specials.” She also loved dancing; especially liturgical.

Trina was raised in the Church of God in Christ. Her upbringing taught her to serve the body of Christ and she did so in many capacities.  She was a member of Greater Macedonia-Ebenezer COGIC under Rev. Clarence Powell and Greater Remnant COGIC under Bishop David W. Spann, Sr. She continued that service when she became a member of Transformation Church of Jesus Christ (formerly First United Church of Jesus Christ-Apostolic, Bishops Monroe R. Saunders, Sr. and Jr.) and fellowshipped there until moving to Virginia. After returning to Baltimore, she joined Chosen By God Ministries under Pastor Patricia “Patti” Johnson where she served faithfully.

Trina was someone you wanted in your corner during hard times because she would face them head on. Her prayers and words of comfort were foundational for a strong support system. Having her as your friend meant you had a “ride or die” girl on your side. Her smile was the staple of her personality as well as those hugs and could be considered a part of her gift because of the comfort and genuine affection so immediately felt.

She wrote two books for her healing and to help others - “Lost, Broken,Healed, Restored!” and “LIFE Notes.” She loved to worship in song and dance and served where ever needed. She desired to worship God with all her heart in dance and she did.  The ministry took her on a journey.

She was a diligent student and after completing many courses, she obtained many certificates with “The Eagle’s Ten Network Worldwide.” She recently became Co-Director of the new site in Maryland.  Her greatest academic accomplishments were receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.  Trina worked as a CNA for many years and more recently became a case worker for Potomac Case Work Services, Inc.

Trina will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Sue Bunch; her brothers, Jeremiah Bunch, Richard Jr. and Damien Ritch; her grandmother, Annie Mae Bunch and her aunt, Sandra Kaye Bunch.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Terence Tubman; her children, Darius Ritch (Kristina), Terrence Lee, Jezoar, Elizabeth, and Angela Tubman; her grandchildren, Dante Lee and Ryan Ritch; her father, Richard M. Ritch, Sr; her sisters, LaTanya Bunch and Tamara Ritch; her brothers, Renaldo, Taurean, Marrio, Migal, TreYonn and Sherwen Ritch and Brandon Fortune; her adopted sisters, “The Baltimore Girls”–Kendra Pierce (Wilbert), Kandra Baines (Kevin), Latanya and Latoya Baltimore, and Lashelle Bennett (Jerome); her godchildren, Katrina Bland and Prince, her best friend, Patti Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
